  • Yes! Our jewelry specialists are happy to help you style your existing piercings and plan out your future piercings to achieve your goals.

  • We can install jewelry not purchased from us in healed piercings for a $15 service fee. However, we do not install externally-threaded jewelry, jewelry that is visibly damaged, or jewelry that is the incorrect size for the piercing it is going in.

THE PIERCING PROCESS

  • Most piercings are a quick pinch and a small amount of throbbing at most. The worst part of a piercing is the anxiety before getting it!

  • We set aside 30 minutes for you during your appointment. This time is for you to select jewelry, review pricing with our jewelry specialists, fill out your consent form, and receive proper aftercare instructions. This time also allows your piercer to set up their room and sterilize your jewelry and all tools necessary for your piercing. If you need extra time, please call the studio or make a note on your appointment listing. Appointments are strictly one per person. If you have another guest who wants to get pierced, please book a separate appointment.

  • Piercings, while being very cool, are wounds that the body has to heal, and too many piercings healing can have adverse effects on the immune system, making you more prone to longer/more complicated heals for the piercings or potentially a higher likelihood of getting sick! For this reason, we do not perform more than 4 piercings in one session. We recommend a minimum of 6-8 weeks between piercing sessions.

  • We do not use any numbing cream or ointment, nor do we pierce anyone who has had this applied to the area where we are piercing. Topical numbing creams are not designed to be used for puncture wounds and could cause adverse side effects such as allergic reactions to the area.

AFTERCARE AND HEALING

  • On average, piercings take 6 months to a year. More complex piercings can even take up to 1 to 2 years. Each piercing will vary depending on multiple factors, such as aftercare or any changes to the metabolism such as getting sick.

  • We recommend spraying the piercing with sterile saline wound wash before showering. The saline will soften any crusties or scabs on your piercing so they can be easily rinsed away in the shower. You can always blow dry your piercing on the cold setting to help remove any excess moisture. This is often recommended for navel, ear lobes, and anything in the inner ear.

Once the swelling has reduced on the piercing, we recommend visiting your piercer for a checkup and a downsize. Downsizing will ensure your jewelry is properly fitted and will no longer catch or snag on things. It will also help your piercing heal at the proper angle and will help prevent migration. Failure to downsize can result in irritation bumps, which can worsen over time and prevent your piercing from healing.

  • We recommend downsizing your piercing to a fitted post to promote the best healing. The recommended downsizing time varies depending on the piercing.

    Quick Answer:

    • Lobes, Ear Cartilage, Navel, Nostril, Brow: 6-8 weeks

    • Lips: 2-4 weeks

Lobes can be swapped out for your own jewelry as soon as 6 months.

Lip piercings can be swapped out to rings/hoops after 6 months.

We recommend cartilage and nostril piercings stick to flat back jewelry for at least 1 full year before switching the style to a ring/hoop.

Rings/hoops should be sized appropriately for cartilage, nostril, and lip piercings.

  • You can use any jewelry in our studio for a new piercing. If a specific style is needed, our jewelry specialists will help you select a piece. We do not install outside jewelry on fresh piercings as it is not covered by our insurance policy.

  • Please feel free to come in as a walk-in for a free check-up on your piercing! Irritation is not uncommon during the healing, and our piercers are trained to identify and assist with remedying irritation. If your piercer suspects an infection, they will recommend seeking medical guidance.

LIVING WITH PIERCINGS

  • All of the jewelry in our studio has a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer defects, such as gems falling out or pins breaking! Just bring us back the jewelry in a clear plastic bag, and we can replace it for you. If the jewelry is still in your body, the piercer will remove it for you. Once we receive the jewelry, we will start the process of getting the piece repaired through the manufacturer.

  • Please come see your piercer at your earliest convenience so we can assist you! Even if the jewelry isn’t from us, our piercers have lots of experience removing jewelry safely.
